A ceramic artist with a BFA from Georgia State University, SarahBeth Gagnon is the owner and creative director of Tucker Rec Arts. Originally from south Georgia, SarahBeth has been living and working in Atlanta's vibrant ceramics scene for nearly 15 years. Gallery work, an assistantship, leadership as a Studio Production Manager, and teaching have equipped SarahBeth with the expertise and dedication required to nurture and cultivate the creative community that is Tucker Rec Arts.
SarahBeth’s art plays with color, form and the juxtaposition of different surfaces. She loves to reveal the beauty of the raw clay often leaving areas bare in her designs. Her use of underglazes and matte, satin or glossy glaze finishes together create a unique composition in color and surface that invite a closer look.
In today’s fast paced world SarahBeth loves to indulge in immersive family time. Playing with her son, walking the dog, or cosplay crafting with her husband bring her deep joy when she is not playing in the mud.
